In April, OSHA renewed their alliance with the Society for Chemical Hazard Communication (SCHC). The alliance was originally signed in 2003 through the Alliance Program and emphasizes the commitment to health and safety in the workplace. OSHA’s Alliance Program partners OSHA with groups committed to health and safety in the workplace such as unions, professional organizations, community organizations and educational institutions. OSHA and their partners work together to create resources to educate, assist, and share information regarding worker safety and regulatory compliance.
Together, OSHA and the SCHC will develop informative material regarding health, chemical hazard communication, and GHS compliance in labels and SDS, available to SCHC’s members. More than 28,000 attendees were reached in two webinars jointly hosted by OSHA and SCHC.
